Our path to Net Zero

We're committed to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions across our entire business and supply chain.

Determined to do more

Being Zen means taking our environmental responsibilities seriously, doing our part to have a positive impact on people and the planet. It's why we're already Carbon Neutral and a proud B Corp business. But we're determined to do more in creating a better world for future generations.

Business as a force for good.

We've aligned to the standards set by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to ensure we're accountable, and our progress is measurable.

From being open on our emissions to continually reducing our carbon footprint, we want to show the industry and the world that there is a better way to do business.

Net Zero Timeline

Our journey to Net Zero covers more than just the emissions we're directly responsible for, but also those created throughout our supply chain, like the manufacture and transport of our routers, the electricity needed to use our broadband, and the emissions produced by our suppliers.

Even though we don't directly control many of the emissions along this chain, we still have a responsibility for them. That's why we're encouraging the businesses we work with the take this seriously too. Because we all have a part to play, and we'll only truly achieve Net Zero if we work together.

What we do at Zen

Our commitments

Carbon Footprint

Measure our full carbon footprint

We don't just measure the emissions produced by our office, data centre, business travel and waste, but those across our entire supply chain, including the goods and services we buy and distribute, and how our products and services are used by customers.

Global Warming

Set science-based targets to limit global warming to 1.5°C

Scientists agree that a 1.5°C increase in average global temperature is the limit to reduce the worst impacts for our planet. We're committed to ensuring our data is accurate and the targets we put in place can be measured and reported, with long term targets to not only reduce our own emmisions, but those of our entire supply chain.

Emissions

Cut our emissions in half by 2028

On our path to Net Zero we are committed to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions (those we can control) by 50% by 2028. We already have initiatives and measurements in place to achieve this.

Offset remaining emissions

Offset remaining emissions (<10% of our total) with removal offsets

It won't be possible to remove 100% of greenhouse gas emissions. But any emissions we are not able to remove will be offset with 'carbon removal' projects, such as tree planting.
